Jimmy Williamson  On The Mend.

Young hot rising star of bodyboarding  Jimmy Williamson from The Goldcoast is currently in hospital in a critical condition in intensive care with meningitis. A kind of swelling of the brain. The next 24 hours are critical as he is on assisted breathing. Everyone here at No Friends wishes him the very best and hope he makes a swift recovery...keep jimmy in your thoughts .

The latest report is that Jimmy has pulled through 100%. He's now breathing unaided and there's no sign of brain damage that often occurs with this kind of disease. Thanks everyone for their kind thoughts and Jimmy will be back ripping again very soon. .

Tamega and Hubb Final Arica Challenge Chile Clip.

plus other clips from the 2008 event

Randoms.

Tamega beat Hubb in The Arica Challenge Final in Chile. Hubb advanced over  Dave Winchester in the semi while Tamega  disposed of Pierre Costes. In the Tag team event Hawaii won over South Africa.Rawlins busted the move of the event in his heat  with a huge invert to narrowly beat an in form Mike Stewart who was also ripping. Waves were in the 2 metre range.

Riptide and Movement both are running the same crazy shot but from slightly different angles on their next covers. Rawlins is the man on both  covers getting pitted on a  monster keg. Lucky him.

Only 3 Aussies left going into Round 4 of The Arica Challenge in Chile. Round 4 will see Rawlins up against Stewart, Winchester vs Barcellos and Brad Hughes vs Tamega. BP , Hardy and John Showell were Round 3 casualties.

Congratulations to Matt Lackey who recently tied the know marrying his Brazilian wife on the North Coast of NSW. Does this mean the creeps been put to sleep.

MOVEMENT 25 IS COMING.
If being a great big wave surfer is the ability to stay alive while
looking good in the heaviest of situations then Mitch Rawlins must
now be considered amongst the best in the world. We’ve always known
him as the stylish and innovative freesurfer but ever since a
particular Shipsterns session two years ago his heavy wave riding has
been as good as anyone’s. His move to WA is now a masterstroke as the
tight pack of riders he’s been running with enjoy free reign over the
latest big wave discoveries and earn the envy of the surfing world in
the process. Click the link where we talked-turkey with Mitch over
his latest session.

Hey mate!
Trip is going sick, I love this place.
I ended up scoring second on the weekend at the Morey Flipper Cup. Everyone was stoked. I was loving the result and I met a gorgeous girl, ha ha.  Living like a full rockstar over here. Going into Tokyo Thursday night to scope out a few more babes.. The Japanese love their beers, I have been drinking a little bit cause they insist but don’t stress my minds on the job.. The Manta Emotion Cup is on this Saturday so I will let you know how I go over the weekend, I want to win this one.  Last weekend I was beat by a little Japanese small  wave machine, him and another dude hassled the shit outta me in the water but everyone is really kind on land.
Speak soon......yew!!!
